Bryan, from the Canary Islands and a journalist, wanted to go to the Netherlands after the recommendation of one of his friends. He found an offer from TenS Holland on a job search website and did not hesitate to send his CV.

On his arrival in the Netherlands he went to the office to sign the contract and, at that moment, doubts entered him as to whether he was doing the right thing. After signing, returning home, he met another Spanish girl with whom he had a pleasant chat and at that moment he changed the chip and focused on enjoying the experience.

Bryan after February’s snowfall.

At first, his accommodation was more than 10 kilometers away, so they gave him a car to go to work. Bryan would meet his classmates in the parking lot closest to his house and from there they would go together. This seemed very comfortable to him.

Later he has had multiple moves, for organizational reasons to be able to provide homes close to the jobs, as well as transfers due to damage to the home, seeking to provide a more complete accommodation. This Bryan admits to us that it was somewhat annoying, since as he adapts to one house he has had to move to another.

One of the moves was requested by Bryan himself since he had a roommate with whom there was not a good relationship. From TenS Holland we continue working to improve our accommodations and make your experience the best possible.

Regarding work, Bryan tells us that they are huge companies, with very large structures, where you have a coordinator with whom you do the initial training, he tells you what to do and then it is a very autonomous job.

Bryan went to work in the high demand season that ends on January 10, after which he spent a week waiting to find another job since he wanted to continue in the Netherlands. Bryan admits that he went through some anguish since he did not know if it was going to be possible to find another job, although luckily he had managed to save to survive comfortably that week without working. We were finally able to find a job in which Bryan is happy today, he is very comfortable and allows him to continue enjoying this adventure.

Finally Bryan tells us: I recommend the experience to get out of the comfort zone, I had the dream of living outside of Spain, it is a brutal experience, they give you everything chewed up and you have to take advantage of that. Then you can complain, but they give you everything.

We greatly appreciate the time spent by Bryan who at all times was very objective speaking and he wanted to highlight all the positive aspects, such as the negative ones that help us improve. We hope you continue to be happy in the Netherlands and fulfill your dream of living abroad.
